Our Partner Venues
Tandoori Flames works hand-in-hand with a small number of trusted Melbourne venues — including our sister venues — where our team already knows the kitchen, the layout and the run of the room.
Three Melbourne Venues Of Our Own
Most caterers hand you a list of venues and wish you luck. We own three, so you can book the room and the food from one team — or book us purely as caterers and keep the venue you have already chosen. The practical advantage is not the buildings, it is the accountability. When the kitchen and the venue answer to the same people, nobody is explaining on the day that the other party was responsible for the thing that went wrong.- Ultima Function Centre — Keilor East, to 800 guests
- Fleur Weddings & Events — Fawkner, to 400 guests
- Amora — hotel-grade setting
- Catering handled in-house at all three
- Ample on-site parking
- We also cater at your chosen venue
Three Melbourne Venues Of Our Own — Or We Come To Yours
Tandoori Flames is a catering company first. We own and operate three event venues across Melbourne, and we also cater your event at any venue, marquee, hall, park or private home you choose.Ultima Function Centre

We cater at venues across Melbourne every week — function centres, hotels, community halls, marquees, warehouses, parks and private homes. Your venue does not need a commercial kitchen; we bring hot-holding equipment and cook from our South Kingsville production kitchen. Some Melbourne venues have exclusive catering clauses in their contracts. Send us the venue name before you sign anything and we will check for you. If their terms block external catering, we will tell you straight away rather than after you have paid a deposit.Melbourne-Wide, From Our South Kingsville Kitchen
Our production kitchen is in South Kingsville and our vans go everywhere — the inner west, the CBD, the bayside suburbs, the north and the outer west. Any delivery charge is quoted up front, never added later.
South Kingsville · Williamstown · Newport · Yarraville · Altona North · Point Cook · Hoppers Crossing · Tarneit · West Footscray
Our venues sit in deliberately different parts of Melbourne. Keilor East suits guest lists drawn from the northern and western suburbs, with easy access from Essendon, Sunshine and the Tullamarine corridor, plus on-site parking that matters for large family events. Fawkner serves the northern suburbs and is straightforward off the Hume side of the network. The city venue suits corporate guests and interstate visitors arriving through Melbourne CBD and Docklands by train or tram. For families in Point Cook, Werribee, Tarneit and Hoppers Crossing, the western access to Keilor East is usually the shorter run, especially for evening functions in winter.
Our Venues — Your Questions Answered
We own and operate three: Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East, Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner, and Amora in Melbourne. All three are catered by our own kitchen. We also cater at venues we do not own, so you are not required to use one of ours to book us as your caterer.
Ultima Function Centre holds up to eight hundred guests and has eight separate spaces. That means the venue works for a small corporate dinner in one room or a full-scale wedding reception in the largest space, and it can run a ceremony and a reception in different areas of the same building on the same day.
Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner is a single room holding up to four hundred guests. Because it is one space rather than several, the whole venue is yours for the event — one entrance, one bar and no other function running alongside yours. It suits weddings and large family celebrations in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Yes, site visits are by appointment. Seeing the room matters more than photographs do, because capacity numbers do not tell you about sightlines, where the dance floor sits or how the service line will run. We will walk you through layout options at the guest count you are planning and talk through what the day would look like.
Catering and venue are quoted together as one booking, which is the main advantage of using a space we operate. Rather than assume what is in or out, ask us for a written quote — it itemises the room, the catering, staffing and anything charged separately, so you can see exactly what the package covers before committing.
Yes. Most of the events we cater are at venues owned by someone else — function centres, halls, clubs, galleries, marquees and private properties across Melbourne. We work with the venue’s house rules, send through any documentation they require, and book our bump-in directly with their coordinator once your date is confirmed.
The catering is part of how these venues run, since the kitchens, crew and service plans are built together. That is what keeps timing tight and removes the handover gaps that cause problems. If you have a specific external requirement, raise it early and we will tell you honestly whether it can be accommodated at that venue.
Yes, and a large share of our work is at external venues across Melbourne. We need the venue’s external caterer conditions, kitchen access terms, bump-in and bump-out windows and insurance requirements. Once those are confirmed, the planning runs the same way. Some venues restrict or charge for external catering, so check their rules before committing to the room.
Keilor East suits 300 guests if you want multiple spaces, such as a separate ceremony or family area alongside the main room. Fawkner suits 300 in a single dedicated space with a more contained feel. The city option suits guest lists travelling by public transport or staying overnight. Travel for your core guest group usually decides it.
Yes, and it is common for cultural and multi-part celebrations. Eight spaces at the Keilor East site means a ceremony, a close-family lunch and an evening reception can run at the same venue without guests travelling between locations. Each space gets its own service plan and timing, which is simpler to run than coordinating across separate sites.
Walk the guest route from the car park to the seat, then walk the supplier route from the loading door to the kitchen to the serving line. Check the lift, the bathrooms, the bar position, the power points, the noise curfew and where the bins live. Those details decide how the night runs more than the decor does.
Yes, when you book a venue with us the catering crew and kitchen are scheduled against that date in the same system. That removes the common problem of a confirmed room with no confirmed caterer six weeks out. For external venues, confirm the room first, then lock catering, because the venue date is the harder one to move.
Three Melbourne venues we own and cater ourselves
Hunting for a venue and a caterer separately doubles the work and creates a gap where things go wrong. We removed that gap by operating our own event spaces. Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East runs eight separate spaces and takes up to eight hundred guests. Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner is a single room for up to four hundred. Amora in Melbourne is a hotel-grade setting for events that want a more formal finish.
Because the kitchen and the venue answer to the same team, there is no negotiation over bump-in times, kitchen access or what the house will and will not allow. Guest numbers, layout, timeline and menu are decided in one conversation. If you want to see a space before committing, we arrange a site visit so you can stand in the room, check sightlines to the stage and work out where the dance floor and the service line should go.

Ultima Function Centre, Keilor East
Eight spaces under one roof, with capacity up to eight hundred guests. The size range is the point — a smaller room for an engagement or a corporate dinner, a large room for a full wedding reception, or several spaces running at once for a multi-part event with separate ceremony and reception areas.
Fleur Weddings & Events, Fawkner
A single room for up to four hundred guests, which suits couples and organisers who want the whole venue to themselves. Nobody else bumping in next door, one bar, one entrance, one guest flow. Good for weddings, large family celebrations and milestone events in Melbourne’s north.
Amora, central Melbourne
A hotel-grade setting for events that need a more formal presentation — corporate dinners, awards nights, gala functions and weddings with a polished brief. It suits clients who want finished, fitted-out surroundings rather than a blank room they have to style from scratch, and events where guests arrive expecting a certain standard of room.
Banquet service in our own rooms
Catering in a venue we operate means full kitchen access, so the menu can run plated or as a staged banquet without compromising on what we cook.
Reception Canapes
Chicken 65, Paneer Manchurian, Chilly Fish, Haryali Tikki, Chaat Platter
From the Tandoor
Tandoori Chicken Masala, Tandoori Lamb Chops, Tandoori Prawns, Fish Tikka, Paneer Tikka
Banquet Mains
Chicken Punjabi, Lamb Rogan Josh, Andra Fish, Punjabi Malai Kofta, Saag Tofu
Rice, Breads and Dessert
Chicken Biryani, Saffron Rice, Keema Naan, Butter Roti, Matka Kulfi
A starting point, not a fixed list. Swap any dish at no extra charge — the menu is built around your guest list, your budget and the dietary needs in the room.
Booking a venue and catering as one job
Start with the date and the guest count, because between them they narrow the choice to one or two spaces. We then arrange a site visit so you can stand in the room and see it at roughly the scale you are planning, with the layout marked out. Once a space is chosen, the catering conversation follows immediately — service style, menu, timings, dietary counts — and all of it goes into one booking with one set of paperwork, one deposit schedule and one contact to deal with.
In the lead-up we handle the parts that usually fall between venue and caterer: where your suppliers load in, when decor can access the room, how the layout works around service doors, when the kitchen starts and when the room has to be clear. On the day our venue crew and our catering crew are already working to the same run sheet. If you have booked event planning as well, the same team runs the suppliers and the timeline from bump-in to bump-out.
Our Three Venues Compared By Capacity And Fit
Each venue suits a different kind of function, and the right match comes down to guest count, formality and how guests will travel there.

| Ultima Function Centre | Keilor East | Up to 800 across 8 spaces | Large weddings, cultural events, multi-room functions |
| Fleur Weddings & Events | Fawkner | Up to 400 | Weddings and milestone celebrations wanting one dedicated space |
| Amora | Melbourne | Hotel-grade function spaces | Corporate events, conferences and formal city functions |
| Multiple spaces, one site | Keilor East | Separate rooms used together | Ceremony, family lunch and evening reception in one day |

Venue Booking Traps That Catch People Out
Not asking what capacity assumes
A stated capacity of 400 may assume standing, or seating with no dance floor, or round tables with no buffet line. The number alone tells you little. Ask for the seated figure with your intended layout, including space for a serving line, staging and circulation. A room at genuine capacity leaves nowhere for the event to actually happen.
Separating venue and catering decisions
Booking a room first and sorting food later means inheriting whatever the kitchen can do, or paying for external caterer access and hoping the setup works. Venue and catering decided together means the kitchen, loading access, service timing and crew already fit. It also removes the gap where two suppliers each assume the other is handling something.
Overlooking access for older guests
Parking distance, stairs, lift availability, drop-off points and how far it is from the car to a seat matter enormously to guest lists with elderly relatives or young children. Walk the route yourself from the car park to the table. A venue that looks fine on an inspection in daylight can be hard work at night in winter.
Skipping the bump-in and bump-out terms
Venue contracts set when you can get in and when everything must be out, and those hours shape every supplier’s plan. A tight setup window forces rushed styling, and a hard midnight clear-out means pack-down starts before guests finish. Read both windows before signing, and check whether earlier access is available for a styled event.
