Venue Hire Melbourne
Sourcing the right room for your event — from intimate function rooms to full reception venues, matched to your guest count and catering plan.
Three Venues Of Our Own, And Catering For Anywhere Else
Most catering companies send you off to find a venue. We own three, so you can book the room and the food from one team — or book us purely as caterers and keep the venue you have already chosen. Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East is the largest, with eight event spaces and capacity to around 800 guests. Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner is a single glamorous reception room for up to 400. Amora is our third space, for clients who want a hotel-grade setting. If your venue is already booked, send us the name. We will check their external-catering rules for you before you sign anything, because some Melbourne venues have exclusivity clauses worth knowing about early.- Three in-house Melbourne venues

Our venues sit in three different parts of Melbourne for a reason. Keilor East gives western and northern guests freeway access and large on-site parking, which matters for events drawing from Sunshine, Essendon, Taylors Lakes and Keilor Downs. Fawkner suits the northern corridor and Hume families. The Melbourne site works for CBD and Docklands functions where guests arrive by tram or train and stay nearby. We also cater at client-secured venues across Williamstown, Footscray, Point Cook and Werribee — council halls, sporting clubs and waterfront spaces each carry their own access, noise and curfew conditions worth checking early.
Venue Hire In Melbourne — Your Questions Answered
Tandoori Flames owns and operates three Melbourne venues: Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East, Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner, and Amora in Melbourne. Ultima has eight function spaces and holds up to eight hundred guests. Fleur is a single room for up to four hundred. Amora offers a hotel-grade city setting. All three are catered by our own kitchen.
Our venues are offered as a combined room-and-catering booking, because the kitchen and the floor are run by the same team. That is what keeps the service timing tight. If you want catering only, we cater into external venues across Melbourne as a standard service, so you can hire any room you like and have us supply the food.
Up to eight hundred guests at Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East, which is our largest venue. Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner takes up to four hundred in a single room. For headcounts above eight hundred we would look at catering into an external venue with the capacity, and scale the kitchen and service crew to match.
Yes, we work as an external caterer at venues across Melbourne every week — community halls, sporting clubs, galleries, warehouses, wineries and marquees. We need your venue’s conditions of hire, the access and finish times, and details of the kitchen or servery. We bring our own hot-holding and serving equipment and cook off-site where required.
Yes, we run site visits at all three venues by appointment. Visiting is the fastest way to judge whether a space suits your headcount, because floor plans do not tell you how a room feels once the dance floor and buffet line are in. Come with your rough guest number and date so we can show you the right spaces.
Yes, on-site parking is available at our Keilor East and Fawkner venues, which is one reason suburban function centres suit large guest lists better than city rooms. For Amora in Melbourne, nearby parking and public transport are the practical options. We go through access, drop-off and parking in detail during the site visit.
Room-only hire depends on the venue and the date. Our venues are built around in-house catering, so food and room are normally booked together and that is where the logistics work best. If you only need catering, we cater at venues you have secured yourself. Ask about the specific date and space — availability for room-only differs between Keilor East, Fawkner and the Melbourne site.
We run the service sequence room by room so guests are never waiting on a transfer. Ultima Function Centre has eight spaces, which lets a ceremony, cocktail hour and seated dinner each take their own room. Staff and food move between rooms while guests relax. The timing plan sets release times for each space, and one coordinator controls both floors.
On-site parking is available at the Keilor East and Fawkner venues, and our Melbourne site sits where public transport and nearby parking do most of the work. Confirm the usable bay count for your guest number at booking, particularly for events over 300 where overflow street parking matters. Share the parking detail in your invitation so guests arrive without circling.
No — exclusive catering clauses block outside providers, so check this before signing anything. Many Melbourne reception spaces, golf clubs and some council facilities run exclusive or preferred supplier lists. If your shortlisted venue is locked, either choose an open-catering site or look at our own venues. Ask the venue for the clause in writing before you pay a deposit.
A site contact, the access window, a floor plan and photos of the kitchen or servery. We also need power point locations, gas availability, bin arrangements, lift or stair details and the pack-down deadline. A short site visit resolves most of it in twenty minutes. For venues we already work with regularly, the details are on file and nothing is needed from you.
Yes, at our own venues. A multi-space site lets the ceremony run in one room while the dining room is dressed next door, so guests do not travel between locations. That removes transport gaps, keeps elderly guests comfortable and protects the schedule in bad weather. At a client venue, this depends on whether the site has a second usable space.
Three Melbourne Venues, One Catering Team
If you need a room and the food in one booking, we own and run three Melbourne venues. Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East has eight separate spaces and handles up to eight hundred guests. Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner is a single-room venue for up to four hundred. Amora in Melbourne gives you a hotel-grade setting closer to the city. All three are catered by the same Tandoori Flames kitchen, so the room and the menu come from one contract and one contact.
That matters because split bookings are where function planning goes wrong. A venue blames the caterer, the caterer blames the venue, and you spend your week chasing both. With us the floor plan, the service timing and the kitchen schedule are built by one team. And if you already have a room booked somewhere else — a hall, a club, a warehouse, a marquee at home — we cater into it as an external caterer. Both paths are normal work for us.

Eight spaces at Ultima
Ultima Function Centre in Keilor East runs eight separate function spaces, which means we can match the room to the headcount instead of putting one hundred and twenty guests in a space built for five hundred. It also means two events can run the same evening without the car park or the entrance colliding.
Fleur for a single-room function
Fleur Weddings & Events in Fawkner is one room for up to four hundred guests. No shared foyer, no second function on the other side of a divider. For a reception or a large family celebration that wants the whole venue to itself, a single-room site is simpler to run and simpler to decorate.
Or we come to your venue
Plenty of clients have the room sorted already. We cater as an external supplier into halls, clubs, galleries, warehouses, wineries and marquees across Melbourne. We work off your venue’s conditions of hire, bring our own hot-holding and serving equipment, and only ask for access time and power.
What A Venue Package Menu Looks Like
Venue bookings usually run a staged menu across the evening: roaming canapes on arrival, a station or two, buffet mains, then dessert as the floor opens up.
Roaming on arrival
Veg Spring Rolls, Calamari Pakoras, Amritsari Fish, Chicken Manchurian, Chilly Paneer
Live stations
Chaat Platter, Pani Puri, Dahi Puri, Papdi Chaat, Aloo Tikki Chaat
Buffet mains
Punjabi Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, Kadahi Paneer, Dal Tadka, Chicken Biryani, Onion Zeera Rice, Butter Naan, Tandoori Roti, Green Salad
Dessert table
Matka Kulfi, Gulab Jamun, Faluda Kulfi, Chocolate Naan, Coconut Kulfi
A starting point, not a fixed list. Swap any dish at no extra charge — the menu is built around your guest list, your budget and the dietary needs in the room.
Choosing Between Our Venues And Your Own
Start with headcount and date. Under four hundred guests and either Fleur or one of the Ultima spaces will fit; above four hundred, Ultima is the room that takes the load. If the event needs a polished city setting with hotel-standard finishes, Amora is the one to look at. We walk you through the available spaces, show you where the dance floor, head table and buffet line sit, and confirm the parking and access situation before anything is held. Site visits are the quickest way to settle this.
Catering at your own venue runs differently. We need the conditions of hire, the bump-in and bump-out times, and a clear picture of the kitchen or lack of one. Many Melbourne halls and clubs have a servery rather than a kitchen, which is fine — we bring hot-holding gear and cook off-site. What we cannot work around is finding out on the day that there is no vehicle access near the serving area or that power is limited to a single circuit. One phone call solves both.
Comparing Our Venues And Catering At Yours
A quick comparison of the three venues we own and the option of bringing full catering to a site you have already secured.
| Option | Guest capacity | What is already on site | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultima Function Centre, Keilor East | Up to 800 across 8 spaces | Multiple rooms, in-house kitchen, parking, AV, bridal suite | Large weddings, galas and community events needing one site for ceremony and reception |
| Fleur Weddings & Events, Fawkner | Up to 400 | Dedicated event space, kitchen, styling options, parking | Mid-size weddings, engagements and milestone functions in the north |
| Amora, Melbourne | Hotel-grade capacity | Hotel service standards, central location, accommodation nearby | CBD corporate functions, formal dinners and events with interstate guests |
| Your own venue, with our catering | Dictated by the venue | Whatever the venue provides — verify kitchen, power and access | Clients already holding a hall, winery, hall hire or marquee site |
| Multi-space event at one of our venues | Split across adjoining rooms | Separate rooms for ceremony, cocktails and dinner | Events needing a room change between stages without moving guests off site |
| Marquee or outdoor site with mobile kitchen | Set by the footprint | Usually nothing — we bring cooking and holding equipment | Farm, park-adjacent and private property events with no built kitchen |
Booking Errors That Cost You The Room
Signing before reading the access clause
Venue contracts set bump-in and bump-out windows, and many give only two hours before guests arrive. A 300-guest buffet needs longer. Check the access time, the loading dock dimensions and whether a lift is shared with other functions. Where the window is tight, the menu has to be built around it rather than discovered on the day.
Assuming a kitchen means a working kitchen
Plenty of halls list a kitchen that is really a servery — domestic oven, one sink, no exhaust and no cool room. Ask what is actually installed, including gas points, bench run and refrigeration. We bring mobile equipment when needed, but it has to be planned and it changes the power load the building must carry.
Locking the room before the guest count settles
People book a room sized to their invite list, not their likely attendance. Indian and multicultural events commonly run higher than the RSVP count. Book a space with headroom, or one that opens into an adjoining room. Our Keilor East site splits and combines spaces for exactly this reason, which is easier than renegotiating a venue six weeks out.
Overlooking the pack-down deadline
Venues charge for overruns and some require the room clear by midnight. Staff need forty-five to ninety minutes after the last service to strip, wash and load. Work backwards from the hard deadline when setting speech and cake timings, otherwise the final hour of your event collides with the pack-down crew.
